A couple of great flights today... At last...
I leaned off the mid needle by one click and main (inintially) by two clicks and later added another click to the main.
The tuning definitely made a difference with the motor pulling a lot stronger.
Forward and back flips, bit of inverted hovering into rainbows, stall turns in the mix. Also practiced nose in hovering and 7 o'clock nose in.
Not sure on the vbar adjustments I made a few weeks ago to st2, but st1 is handling nicely. I will probably need to do a bit more tuning on the tail to see if I can get rid of the bounce on clockwise piro stops.
THe adjustments to gains etc is making a noticable difference to rx battery life. Thw two flights today only used 25% of the battery. It wasn't that long ago that would have been just one flight. The tail servo I think is having a major effect, but going from two flights per charge to a now theoretical six flights is great :)

Nigel has been involved in the IT industry for over 35 years, during this time, he has been involved in most facets of the industry. These include, Software engineering and Analysis, networking, software development, PC and server assembly, Systems Engineering.
Outside of his career, his main hobby is Radio Controlled vehicles. Starting in 2002 with his first Nitro car - A Traxxas Nitro Rustler, progressing to 4wd off-road buggies, Helicopters, boats, planes, gliders and most recently, quad copters. He was one of the founding "resurrectors" of the Radio Controlled Off-road track in Morphett Vale, South Australia where he raced for seeral years.
Currently (besides flying planes, gliders and helicopters), he is building a 77" PT17 Stearman based of plans drawn by Nick Ziroli.
