The weather was glorious for flying today, despite what the BOM said it would be like.
I had two flights on the NX7. I am very impressed as at the moment, I am only using about 1/2 a tank for an 8 minute flight, but at this stage I have only done mainy hovering and some circuits.
I have leaned the main needle by about six clicks (1/4 turn) and the mid off by two clicks. This has helped the head speed allowing it to get up to 1850 and 1900 (according to the rpm telemetry)
It is really nice having a 700 size heli again. I had forgotten how enjoyable they are over the 600 size.
I still have some tweaking of the vbar to do. With the gains down around 60 the heli if very dirfty. I know 90 is too high, so I might split it and try 75 on ST1 and 80 on ST2. Tail could also be increased slightly

Nigel has been involved in the IT industry for over 35 years, during this time, he has been involved in most facets of the industry. These include, Software engineering and Analysis, networking, software development, PC and server assembly, Systems Engineering.
Outside of his career, his main hobby is Radio Controlled vehicles. Starting in 2002 with his first Nitro car - A Traxxas Nitro Rustler, progressing to 4wd off-road buggies, Helicopters, boats, planes, gliders and most recently, quad copters. He was one of the founding "resurrectors" of the Radio Controlled Off-road track in Morphett Vale, South Australia where he raced for seeral years.
Currently (besides flying planes, gliders and helicopters), he is building a 77" PT17 Stearman based of plans drawn by Nick Ziroli.
