Well as you can see, I now have another heli.  This one is a lot bigger than the Mini-Titan with a rotor diameter of about 1.35metres.  Each 600mm blade is nearly as long as the Mini-Titan LOL.

The heli was purchased 2nd hand in a "Bind-n-fly" state and has only been flown 3 times.  It has been built using Hitec servos - 475HB for the throttle and cyclic controls, and a HS5955TG for the tail, a Futaba GY401 gyro, Align 2-in-1 BEC/Glow igniter and an Align (OS) Hyper 50 motor.

Another nice evening for a flight.  Would have liked to get a second flight in, but was getting a little too dark.  Would have been fine if it didn't take so long to go and get fuel...  Oh Well

Was a fun challenge controlling the heli as the wind threw it around.  I spent sthe flight just honing my hovering skills with a small...

Flight #99 didn't get off the ground until I made some adjustments.

I had spooled up the heli and just lifted off.  I gave a bit of rudder then all of a sudden the tail swung out and a horrible noise. Dropped her down and then proceeded to investigate.

Thankfully all that had happened was the tail section wasn't tight, but had moved back slightly (and tightening up the belt).  This had moved about 2mm allowing the belt to get very loose.  Quick adjusment and I was back out with darkness...
