Wasn't too bad a morning for flying.  The winds were there, but not as strong as the weekend before.

I did the usual hovering, just to get a "feel for the day" and the winds.  Im still lacking a bit of confidence nose and left side in, which is annoying.  But still did some anyway.  plus the usual "mandatory" piros LOL

Now the "new manoeuvre" LOL...  I started doing some circuits.  Just simple left to right, turn, right to left, turn etc.  I have been practicing this on Phoenix, but...

A nice flight for the mini titan.  I discovered that the top collar on the main shaft came loose, so before the flight I tightened this up.  This might have accounted for the blades not staying in track.

Im still not happy with the esc on the MT.  Wether I have it configured for governor mode and this is the reason for the higher head speed when pitch pumping.

I had to adjust the blade tracking again, but once adjusted, it stayed spot on for the rest of the flight.

Flight consisted...

This was a test flight to see how the new wooden blades are that I bought from Take-Off and Land.  Half the price of the Thunder tiger blades.  From this (short) flight, they seem pretty good.

The flight was just hovering around in the back yard.

It only took 1 turn on the slave short link and 1 turn on the slave long link to bring the tracking almost into alignment.  I might be able to get it closer, but it is les than 1/2 blade width out.

What was interesting was that this battery at the end of this flight has 7 (nearly 8) minutes of flight on it, and its only taken 1026ma (in 66:01 minutes) to charge.

Not a good flight with the little mini titan.  The turbulence was terrible and when trying a piro, the wind took it close to the kids swing set, so it was ground it quick with some damage or hit the swing set and posibley greater damage.

Unfortunately I hit the wrong switch (flight mode and not throttle hold) so ended up doing a main gear as well as main shaft and the usual blades.  Im glad the blades were only woodies.

I didn't charge the battery.  The flight was just short of 4 minutes

Wasn't too bad a morning at SARCH.  Until you got out of the car and felt the icy chill of the winds. LOL

I had two flights.  7 and 12 minutes

First flight was nothing special, just the usual, tail, left and right side in hovers with some full and half piros.

The second flight of the day I did the bronze wings test.  It comprised the following manouvres:

Take off and hover at eye level (above the pad), then land Take off to eye level, then move away from you...
