Was a nice morning for flying.  Non wind, and just the storm clouds.

I mounted the camera to the mount I had made on the skid and went out for my first flight.  I flew around just doing circuits and piro stall turns.  When I got back in, I fired the laptop up and copied the video off the camera.

I was a bit dissappointed as there were a lot of vibrations, but will have to look at the video again on my main computer.  I think I will need to make the mount more rigid and then just provide...

This was a little test in the backyard of  my new keychain camera to see what the video was like.

I mounted the camera on the tail boom where the boom supports join.  The video was pretty good considering the cheap price of the camera ($9.50 from ebay)

Battery 6 took 558ma for a 4 minute flight and took 37:31 minutes to charge

Just a quick 1/2 tank flight as its just so nice flying down on my parent's property.

The winds made it challenging when coming in to land, but weren't overly bad.  I hardly noticed it when up high, although the heli didn't take much to gain altitude quickly!

Just some circuits and basic hovering and slow speed manouvering.

Flight time was 8 minutes.

Hardly a breath of wind for flying.

Two great flights.  Nothing new, just lots of circuits with varying styles of turns.  Figure 8's with lots of emphasis on nose in.  I am still very shakey on turning in towards my self, but its just practice that will help that.

Flight times were 13 and 14 minutes respectively and engine temperatures were 98 and 108

It started out a nice morning with only a slight breeze, but then the winds got stronger. I had one flight which was fun, but not as enjoyable as yesterdays flying when there was a lot less wind. The 13minute flight comprised of circuits, stall and stall 540 piro turns as well as normal banked turns and more nose in. The winds were strong and coming from the north.  You had to work at getting the heli up the field (heading top the northern end), but turn the heli towards the south and she...

Was an awesome day for flying.  The wind was a bit annoying, but not too bad.

Three flights for the day.  I would have liked to fly some more, but the transmitter and starter batteries were in need of charging.

No new moves today.  Just lots and lots of circuits with stall turns, stall turns with 540 piros, figure 8's.

I did practice more turns turning towards me and they are improving and also more nose in, flying towards me as part of a figure 8.

Flight times and engine...

Weather was so-so, but not too bad once you got flying.

Once up in the air, the winds were gusty, but gave a really nice tail wind fly down the field (right to left) and when turning into the wind you could do nice gracefull turns, whereas turning into the tail wind you could snap the heli around.

The first flight was a lot of hovering around with some circuits, just to get my thumbs back into it after a couple of week lay off.

The second flight was similar to the first, but more circuit work.  The wind was quite gusty and strong up high which made it challenging but fun.
