This was Jordon's second flight and the first using the buddy box system.  Took him a bit to get his eye in, but near the end of the flight he was getting the hang of it.

Just a quick hover in the front yard to see how the settings changed the heli.

I have upped the throttle curve for st1 and st2 to try and improve the climb out.  I also changed the pitch curve for st1 to 0-50-100 (was 30-50-100).  There was an improvement, but it was hard to really tell in the gusty winds

Beautiful conditions for flying.  Humid and slightly warm with no wind.

Nothing new with this flight, just loops, flips, rolls piros etc.

Small amount of inverted (10sec)

Very enjoyable flight

Flight was 10 minutes. Max engine temp was 106c

Merry Christmas!

The weather started off crap, but improved as the morning progressed.  The wind was still annoying and gusty, but at least it was flyable

I made some changes the the 3G software setup last night after performing the "silcone mod" to the sensor a few weeks back.

I was not prepared for the dramatic changes in the heli's behaviour.  It has gone from an OK flying heli to an awesome flying heli :)  It felit like it was on rails.  It would do as I told it and do it very well.

I also...

First time flying at Etsa park and it was quite eye opening and intimidating with planes tearing around doing circuits having to avoid a couple of micro helis, whilst the bulk of the helis (blade 400s and smaller) were down the "dark side" of the stadium.

A couple of nice flights with the mini-titan.  Just lots of hovering (as i didn't feel comfortable venturing out to do circuits with the planes buzzing around).  It did allow me to fine tune the pitch curve for Jordon to learn with (dull it down around mid stick) and also to practice my nose in hovering.

Congratulations Jordon on your first flight :)  Well done

This was Jordon's first flight.  He was only in control of the elevator and rudder, but he did very well hovering over the pad.

Battery #7 took 966ma to charge in 39:58 minutes for a 6 minute flight.

During the week I leaned the main needle off so it was 1.5 turns out.  This seemed to work well for the first flight, but given the ambient temp (and the bogging when doing flips etc), I decided to richen the mixture up for the second flight to 1.75 turns out.

both flights consisted of flips, loops, circuits, rolls, piro stall turns and some inverted hovering.

Second flight I also just had a bit of fun "freestyling it" zooming around the sky

Engine temps were 104 and 109 for...

Just wanted to sneak in a flight before flying tomorrow.

It was quite warm so only kept the flight short.  The temp of the battery was only about 46c and motor about 57 after the flight.

Flight consisted of circuits, flips and rolls.  Its quite challenging flipping and rolling the mini-titan as it doesn't have the power that the Trex600n has.  Still, I will improve them with practice.

Battery #6 took 863ma to charge in 34:42 minutes for a 4 minute flight.
